My Current Coffee Setup

Currently, I’m a little embarrassed to admit it, but my morning coffee setup is a single serve Keurig machine.

We got the 1st Generation Keurig machine as a Christmas present one year, and you know what?  It was handy.  Convenient.  Simple.  We started using it, but those K-cup pods are expensive.  Cheaper than a Starbucks, of course, but much pricier than a old fashioned brewed pot of coffee.

It’s also very wasteful.  Most people toss those pods in the garbage.  We tried to take the lid off and compost the grounds, then recycle the pod itself, but the city apparently had issues with it.  This isn’t the best way to make coffee.

I have no control over the actual coffee.  It’s all pre-packaged.  I can only make what’s in the pod.

It doesn’t even give me options other than size of mug; that means no fancy iced drinks, fraps, cappuccino or anything else.

And, it’s on the fritz.  This will not do.
