My first lesson went well – I even enjoyed it. The second lesson is about how to manipulate files in Bash. Bash is more or less like DOS if you remember that. It’s not intuitive, there’s no mouse, and you need to know how to write a like of code to make Bash do what you want. This is a good base to start coding from, but I don’t expect to use this much in the future.
Now that I’m back into coding, the first ‘lesson’ was about learning how to navigate around using Bash. Not that Bash is difficult, it just isn’t very user friendly – its a holdover from the old days of text-based programming. It was an interesting departure.
