The Great Tradition of Saturday Mornings

I spent much of this and last weekend rummaging through my music collection: a lot of Digital mp3s and FLACs, Midi and Wav files. My huge CD collection, my remaining cassettes from when I was a kid and lastly, my prized vinyl collections.

I got into records (vinyl, I mean) after high school and starting into college. It was when many people began to bring back a passion for vinyl – it sounds better, I think. Well, not BETTER per say.

Technically, Vinyl sounds WORSE.

Lower bit rate, and when they were recorded, suffered from something known as tape saturation. This makes the sounds warmer. Not better, just…different. Nostalgic.

So join me every weekend, and we’ll talk oldies, goodies and really good jams
